Ghana's High Commissioner to India Strengthens Ghana–India Trade Relations with Visit to Southern Gujarat Chamber

As part of ongoing efforts to deepen economic and commercial cooperation between Ghana and India, Ghana's High Commissioner to India, H.E. Prof. Kwesi Obiri-Danso, has paid an official visit to the Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SGCCI) to advance discussions on strengthening bilateral trade and investment relations.

The visit follows the recent official mission of the Ghana India Chamber of Commerce (GICC) to India, during which a delegation led by the Chamber's leadership signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with SGCCI to promote trade, investment, business partnerships, and institutional collaboration between Ghana and the State of Gujarat.

During the GICC delegation's courtesy call on the High Commissioner in New Delhi, the Chamber briefed him on the successful engagement with SGCCI and the signing of the MoU. Demonstrating his commitment to supporting the initiative, the High Commissioner has subsequently visited SGCCI to explore practical areas of collaboration and discuss how the Ghana High Commission and the two Chambers could work together to facilitate stronger business linkages between the private sectors of both countries.

The Ghana India Chamber of Commerce commends the High Commissioner for his proactive leadership and unwavering support towards strengthening Ghana–India economic relations. The Chamber remains committed to working closely with the Ghana High Commission in India and SGCCI to translate the partnership into tangible trade and investment opportunities for businesses in both countries.
