Ghana India Chamber of Commerce Explores Strategic Partnership with OmniBSIC Bank Accra, Ghana

A high-level delegation of the Ghana India Chamber of Commerce (GICC), led by its Chairman, Mr. David Brian Obro, on Monday, 13th July 2026, paid a working visit to the headquarters of OmniBSIC Bank in Accra as part of efforts to strengthen strategic partnerships that support bilateral trade and investment between Ghana and India.

The meeting brought together executives of both institutions to discuss areas of mutual collaboration aimed at facilitating trade, improving access to finance for businesses, and promoting stronger commercial ties between the two countries.

Speaking during the engagement, the Chairman of GICC, Mr. David Brian Obro, underscored the Chamber's commitment to fostering meaningful partnerships with key financial institutions to support Ghanaian and Indian businesses seeking to expand their operations.

He noted that access to innovative financial solutions remains critical to unlocking the enormous trade and investment opportunities that exist between Ghana and India.

Discussions also focused on developing tailor-made banking products and trade finance solutions for Chamber members, supporting import and export businesses, facilitating investment, and enhancing the ease of doing business for enterprises operating within the Ghana–India trade corridor.

Both the Ghana India Chamber of Commerce and OmniBSIC Bank expressed optimism about the prospects of a long-term partnership that would contribute significantly to private sector growth, economic development, and increased bilateral trade.

The visit forms part of the Chamber's broader strategy of engaging strategic stakeholders to build a robust ecosystem that supports international trade, investment promotion, and sustainable economic cooperation between Ghana and India.
