Ghana India Chamber of Commerce Participates in GUTA Inauguration and Awards Night
The leadership of the Ghana India Chamber of Commerce (GICC) on Friday, April 10, 2026, participated in the inauguration ceremony and awards night of the Ghana Union of Traders’ Associations (GUTA), held at the Alisa Hotel in Accra.
The high-profile event brought together key stakeholders in Ghana’s trade and business sector to celebrate excellence and usher in a new team of executives to steer the affairs of GUTA.
During the event, the GICC delegation engaged in fruitful interactions with the Minister of Trade, Agribusiness and Industry, Hon. Elizabeth Agyare, as well as the former Minister of Trade and Industry, Hon. Alan Kyerematen. They also extended their congratulations to the newly inaugurated President of GUTA and his executive team.
Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration between the Chamber and GUTA, particularly in areas of trade facilitation, policy advocacy, and the promotion of bilateral business opportunities between Ghana and India.
The Ghana India Chamber of Commerce reaffirmed its commitment to building strategic partnerships with key industry players to enhance economic growth, support local businesses, and deepen trade relations between the two countries.
The event also served as a platform to recognize outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations within the trading community, highlighting the critical role of traders in Ghana’s economic development.
